Watch the content on this module grow. I will be adding information regarding optimizing you photos for the web, tips on choosing pleasingly aesthetic photos, optimizing the for SEO.

Right now, I’m providing a growing list of resources for free photos. We all like free, don’t we. But, to be honest when it comes to photographers with incredible artistry (when they are really good) who are willing to give photos away, I call that a gift.

IMPORTANT MESSAGE: If you’d love to see these types of sites remain free and accessible and especially if you love a particular photographer’s work, and even more important you like to keep lawyers at a safe distance:

Always give photographer credit in a caption or in footer of your page.
Avoid free photos with recognizable logos
If there is a prominent model, message the photographer and see if there was a model release signed.

If you ever get a cease and desist. REMOVE the image immediately.

Founded 4 years ago as a humble Tumblr blog, Unsplash has grown into an industry-leading photography community. It’s become a source of inspiration for everyone from award-winning writers like Deepak Chopra to industry-titans like Apple, and millions of creators worldwide.
