“Why” – The Seed for Your Content Strategy

Why am I doing this? Why am I putting myself out there on the World Wide Web?

It’s important to know your why. It’s not necessary to understand, at first, how all the components to your website come together. Once the Why has been established, things start coming together in a magical way. It’s easier to see what you need and what is superfluous to your online goals.

If you are reading this, then it’s fairly safe to assume we’ve already gone over the Seven Levels of Why exercise together. You’ve arrived at your true heartfelt Why. It is from this Why that you will power every aspect of you website and web presence. Never lose track of your heart inspired reason for doing what you do. When you stay the course and follow your heart, one inspired step at a time, you will successful. Period.

So here’s what I want you to do:

Find an index card or even better a lovely postcard.

On the front write out the Why you discovered in our exercise.

Now post that sucker to the wall where you can see it frequently. 

You want to be reminded often about why your dreaming your dream and making it happen. It’ll be like second nature to you and it will permeate all areas of your life so that it’ll be the most natural thing in the world to translate it to web or print! Heck, maybe you’ve got a book in you, too, you wonderful over-achiever!

Additionally, you can make it a screensaver on your mobile phone or have it go off throughout the day as an alert.
